About burritos.bay

Draft: this is a personal guide to burritos around the San Francisco Bay Area. Replace this text before launch.

How to read the numbers

Every burrito gets one overall score out of 10, built from six parts:

PartShareWhat it measures
Gut25%One number for the whole burrito: how good it was, start to finish.
Meat25%The meat chosen that day; the label says which.
Ingredients20%The quality of the beans, rice, cheese, pico and guac.
Tortilla10%The wrap itself.
Salsa/Sauce10%The salsa or sauce.
Ratio10%The balance of meat to everything else: every bite has all of it.

A part the burrito didn't have is skipped, and its share is spread over the rest.

What the scale means

6: Draft: decent if nearby.

8: Draft: excellent and worth a trip.

Want to try

Grey pins on the map are spots on the want-to-try list: no review yet.

Best value is the score times itself, divided by the price, so quality counts double.

The score shown is from the newest visit. Earlier visits stay on the spot's card.
